Since the early 19th century, cotton moleskin has been a popular fabric choice for manufacturers of durable, comfortable, and good-looking workwear. And it’s no surprise. Densely woven but with a luxuriously soft hand-feel, it’s extremely hard-wearing and usefully windproof. The downside of cotton, however, is that once it gets wet, it loses its insulating properties—and takes an age to dry.
Ridgeline’s new Moleskin Tech-Knit Supreme, by contrast, offers all the benefits of cotton moleskin—with none of the functional downsides.
It’s a knitted fabric made from 47% cotton—as you’d expect. The difference, though, is that Ridgeline has added 7% nylon and 46% polyester to the blend and produced it in a substantial 380gsm weight.
Compared to ordinary cotton moleskin, it’s harder-wearing, quicker-drying, more wind-resistant, and considerably warmer for its weight. In short, it’s better. By a country mile.

Delivery Information
We offer a FREE Click and Collect service to all of our BATA Country Stores, South West Lancashire Farmers and Thompsons Town & Country Store. You can select this option at checkout. This service is FREE of charge and takes between 3-7 working days. Your selected store will contact you when your order is ready for collection. We also offer UK Standard delivery at £6.95 and UK Express delivery at £8.95, if you need your items that little bit sooner. Standard delivery will take 3-5 days, while Express will take 1-2 days. Note that for some orders, the postage cost may increase once an order has been placed, this is due to added surcharges, the size or weight of the item(s). Order Cut-Off time for Express delivery is 14:00. Please note, the above service excludes fuel products, with delivery of Web Orders on Oils & Additives taking between 3-10 days. Furthermore, please be aware that our timber products and some larger agricultural products are excluded from delivery, with these being Click & Collect Only products. Please note, heavier/larger products may also be subject to delivery surcharges as a result of their weight/size.Online Returns Policy
We hope you are happy with your recent purchases, however, if you’d like to return an online order, we are happy to offer a full refund on all products bought within 28 days of receipt, providing the goods have not been used or damaged. All goods returned will only be accepted if they are returned in their original packaging, with labels attached and in a clean and dry condition. Please note there are some items which cannot be exchanged or refunded (unless faulty) due to being perishable or for health and safety or hygiene reasons. - You will be refunded once the items have arrived at BATA Ltd.
- All items must be returned in the original packaging (where possible).
